Role of FSR
FSR is an organisation, which is directly under the ministry of finance. The organisation has no board members as such and therefore its management is directly responsible to the minister of finance. FSR administers government construction projects as well as consulting on technical matters, procurement and preparation of projects.
Purpose
The purpose of FSR is to develop in one place within the public sector, specialist knowledge in construction. It is considered highly important for the state as a large client in construction, that it has an in house knowledge of this type. FSR is also expected to be leading in standardisation of procurement formation and development of construction methods. It is purpose of FSR to be pioneering in the use of information technology in its field.
Aims
The aim of the FSR is to be leading and initiative in management of public construction projects. The FSR aims and objectives are to improve methods, efficiency as well as insuring quality and economical efficiency in construction.
